The Crypto Lacrosse Entering into the Wing Area in Canada

Canada is home to maple syrup and ice hockey, which works at its own pace with every new transition. Thus far, the cryptocurrency uptake has been slow in the region; however, major waves of change are coming across with some interesting new developments. In a recent Tweet, Tobi Lutke admitted to spending his entire morning entangled with the ETH smart contracts.

The Tweet mentioned that Lutke has been fascinated by the ERC20 protocol and wanted to know more about how it unfolds. He later started a thread where he asked advice from the crypto community of Twitter about the best E-commerce savvy options that DeFi has to offer. Lutke is the CEO of the largest Canadian E-commerce giant Shopify and the largest public-traded company.

Twitter Crypto community is Rushing to the Call of Canada Crypto Adoption

Lutke’s suggestion set his Twitter feed on fire as many noteworthy crypto enthusiasts took the time to provide their insightful observations. It should be noted that Shopify has also seen a staggering 500 percent growth in just two years. For this reason, many call the site the Canadian Amazon.

Shopify has even managed to surpass the Royal Bank of Canada in terms of total revenue and claim the top blue-chip spot. Last May, the e-commerce website also partnered with CoinPayment to allow its merchants to get paid in digital assets. Slow Ventures CEO, Jill Carlson, advised Lutke to go with stablecoin payment integration while veteran crypto trader David Lach suggested staking and buying goods with the gains.

HGreg-the Quebec based car dealer is making plans for accepting cryptocurrencies as payment. In a recent press release, president John Hairabedian said that the dealership wishes to be compliant with the demand of today and wants to facilitate its customers with the best shopping experience by setting up user-friendly payment methods.

Meanwhile, Italian-based automobile manufacturer Mazzanti has also set up digital gateways to accept the flagship cryptocurrency as payment for its Evantra supercar. The US automobile industry is not behind in the crypto transition, as Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta told media that his dealership has already sold 17 units of luxury cars (Bently and Rolls-Royce) by accepting Bitcoin as payment.
