CertiK Reportedly Held a Funding Round Led by Tiger Global

As per the latest reports, CertiK has reported that it has carried a successful funding round. According to CertiK, the funding round it held helped it generate $24 million worth of funds. The firm has announced that with the help of the funds it has successfully generated, it is going to develop and introduce new products and services.

The firm is aiming to launch these services for the welfare, benefit, and advantage of its users. The firm is also aiming to provide facilities and offers in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.

The details confirm that two major firms were responsible for leading the particular funding round. The name of the first firm was GL Ventures and the name of the second firm was Tiger Global.

The funding round turned out to be very successful and promising for CertiK because of a new service that the firm recently launched. The data shows that CertiK recently went ahead with the launch of Skynet Premium.

The Skynet Premium is known for being a platform that actively monitors decentralized applications. Ever since its foundation, more than 2 billion on-chain transactions and over 2 million addresses of the smart contracts have been monitored by Skynet Premium.

As of now, CertiK has claimed of serving a decent number of enterprise clients. According to the firm’s estimates, it has managed to serve more than 1,300 enterprise clients until now. CertiK has proven itself to be one of the most crucial and advantageous firms. While serving these many clients, it has detected more than 23,000 vulnerabilities and backdoors in the codes of the blockchain networks.

Ever since the cryptocurrency industry gained tremendous growth and success, it has been plagued with security exploits. Every now and then, a different cryptocurrency platform is being exploited by hackers. As a result, the platforms either end up losing sensitive data, funds and at times, even both.

This is where firms such as CertiK come in and with their capabilities, highlight the flaws in the codes for blockchain. They do it before hackers or trespassers find these flaws and use them to their advantage.

One of the recent and most prominent hacks that took place in the cryptocurrency-blockchain space was Poly Network. Over time, as the decentralized finance sector has become more and more injected with money and funds, more hackers and cybercriminals are getting attracted to the platform.

It has happened for the second time in the last 3 months that the market capitalization of decentralized finance has hit the $2 trillion mark. This means that it is just a matter of time, the decentralized finance sector becomes the favorite ground for hackers and cybercriminals.
