The major cryptocurrency exchange and wallet provider, Coinbase is now joining in on the Solana Network, with further intentions to power up Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and decentralized applications (dApps) in the coming times.
According to an introductory announcement made by Coinbase itself, it revealed the first phase of support for the Solana Network, which will help users to trade both SOL Crypto and SPL tokens, via the integrated browser extension. Coinbase specifically mentioned that it wants to provide more ease to its users, letting them take advantage of multiple web3 opportunities, without having the need to take care of several different wallets.
Coinbase stated that with this new integration, users interested in Solana-based cryptocurrency and tokens can also take advantage of Coinbase’ other partnered networks such as, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and several others in the market.
Integration Features
In terms of future projects and plans, Coinbase stated that this is just the start towards a bright future with Solana Network. Coinbase has worked hard to bring features that will allow traders to interact with dApps, letting them monitor and control their Solana-based NFTs straight through the Coinbase browser extension.
Solana users will gain the ability analyze all their assets in several different ways, with the Coinbase wallet browser extension bringing all supported digital assets in one place, making it easier to manage. As of now, the Solana-based cryptos and tokens will only be managed through the desktop browser extension, as support for the mobile application is still uncertain
Solana’s Performance
Coinbase also praised Solana for its excellent work in community build up, bringing together both developers and traders, promoting interactions and idea sharing, as massive amounts of engagement and interest is rising towards the development of Web3 services and applications. This integration with Coinbase is something that is very necessary for the network, because of its efforts in trying to go toe-to-toe with crypto giant, Ethereum.
Because of its excellent efforts, the Solana network has managed to put its name across the market, supporting nearly 1400 active projects due to its speedy and economical transactions. In terms of NFTs, Solana NFTs have been quite an attractive option for traders who cannot afford expensive art and are looking for quick profit gains instead of collecting. Many popular celebrities such as, Mila Kunis have recently been interacting with the Solana network, developing new upcoming projects.
