ALIBABA CLOUD AND DEUTSCHE TELEKOM JOINED THE BLOCKCHAIN CONSORTIUM HYPERLEDGER
16 new companies have joined the blockchain consortium Hyperledger, including such industry giants as Alibaba, Citi and Deutsche Telekom. According to the Executive Director of the organization, this demonstrates the growing importance of blockchain technology for global business.
Here are the other companies from the list: BlockDao (Hangzhou, China), Information Technology, Guangzhishu (Beijing, China) Technology Co., Guangzhou Technology Innovation Space Information Technology Co., KEB Hana Bank, HealthVerity, MediConCen, Techrock (ex. Walimai), we.trade and Xooa.
The replenishment of the consortium members was announced at the Hyperledger Global Forum conference, which took place on November 13th in Basel.
Hyperledger Executive Director Brian Behlendorf said:
“We are starting the forum with an impressive number of new participants. The growing Hyperledger community reflects the increasing importance of efforts to create blockchain technologies for business, using open source in various industries and markets. The latest participants demonstrate the growing interest and influence of DLT and Hyperledger.”
Hyperledger is one of the world’s largest business associations, leading the development of corporate blockchain solutions. The main product of the consortium is Hyperledger Fabric blockchain framework.
In October, Hyperledger became a partner of Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, dedicated to the development of enterprise applications based on Ethereum.
