ISRAELI TAX STARTED HUNTING FOR CRYPTO-INVESTORS

ISRAELI TAX STARTED HUNTING FOR CRYPTO-INVESTORS

Over the past two weeks, the Israeli tax service has unilaterally issued hundreds of invoices for the payment of taxes against citizens who profit from the storage of cryptocurrencies. This was reported by the portal CTech.

Tax authorities also sent official notifications to residents of Israel, who are suspected of having undeclared income. Among such citizens are, for example, those who often travel abroad, but do not have official and permanent sources of income, or actively buy property.

It is noted that in Israel, cryptocurrencies are not defined as money, but as a financial asset, and therefore are taxed on income from capital in the amount of 25-30%.

Back in May of this year, it became known that the tax service monitors social networks in search of citizens who store or trade cryptocurrencies, but evade taxes.
