Bitmain Will Deploy A Network Of 90,000 Devices Antminer Bitcoin S9 Before Hardforum Cash
On the eve of the hard fork in the Bitcoin Cash network, Bitmain mining company plans to use 90,000 Antminer S9 devices in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, the Chinese edition of Deep Chain reports.
The local operator of the mining pool Yu Hao told Deep Chain that since the end of October, representatives of the company held talks with almost all owners of mining farms, offering them to install the appropriate equipment.
“AntPool [a pool owned by Bitmain] asked each farm to host about 5,000 devices. However, only a few farms agreed to do so.”
The Chinese publication noted that coal-rich areas such as Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia attract companies like Bitmain, as hydroelectric power stations in southwestern China are not able to supply enough energy.
In August, it became known that among the developers of Bitcoin Cash there was a split. The stumbling block was the so-called” Protocol of consensus ” proposed by the main developer of Bitcoin Cash Amaury Séchet.
